Cesura grew out of psychology and research. We build the infrastructure for simulation centers in organizations and institutions: deep, authentic training, assessment and screening, any time, anywhere, in any language.

Where we come from
We started in a community.
Cesura was born out of The Artificial Third: a community of 10,000 members and an R&D institute that bring researchers and psychology professionals together around applying AI. There, with research partners, we learned what turns a simulation into a real training tool: a character with psychological depth, a scenario with a goal, feedback that can be validated. We built our methodology and platform on those studies, and founded Cesura to bring them to every organization and institution.

Why Cesura
In poetry, a caesura is the pause in the middle of a line, the moment where meaning lands. Cesura is built for that moment: the space where theory becomes practice.
In psychology, W. Bion, following S. Freud, took the caesura further: a space of cutting that is also a space of connection, through which the most meaningful links come to light, within a person and between people. We take that idea into the future: digital spaces that create a deliberate caesura in reality, and through it, real human connection.
